Dear IBCA member countries, dear IBCA Officials,

IBCA is starting a bidding procedure for the following event: World Individual championship 2027 (classical and rapid)

Every member country can submit a bid for this event, see IBCA Bidding form
attached. There is no bidding fee. We recommend to organize this event during the second half of 2027. The deadline for submitting a bid is September 30, 2026.

The 25th International Chess Tournament for Blind and Visually Impaired Players “St. Emperor Constantine and Empress Helena” – Niš 2026 (Serbia)

German Individual Championship of the DBSB 2026

5 September – 13 September 2026

The 43rd German Individual Championship of the DBSB will take place from 5 to 13 September 2026 at the KVJS Tagungszentrum in Herrenberg-Gültstein.All full and integrative members of the DBSB are eligible to participate, as are foreign participants who are members of the respective chess associations for the blind and visually impaired in their country or whose visual ability complies with the WHO Level 1 regulations.

The IBCA World Team Chess Championship 2026 in Petrovac, Montenegro

The 1st International Blind & Visually Impaired Chess Tournament in Istanbul, Türkiye.

6 October – 10 October 2025

Gorulmayan Gazete hosts the 1st International Chess Tournament for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Turkiye. In collaboration with the Turkish Chess Federation.

🗓️ Date: October 6–10, 2025
📍 Venue: Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Şile Disability Camp
🏆 Prize fund: 200,000 TL + trophies
🛏️ Free accommodation for all visually impaired players and *one
accompanying person*
