Forthcoming Tournaments

1) 6th Worldcup for Teams (April 19th - 29th Calimanesti, Romania)

Romania Association of the Blind has de honour to invite the 12 first classified teams at Chess Olympiad for Blind and Visually Impaired - 2008, respectively Russia, Ukraine, Spain, Poland, Germany, United Kingdom, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Croatia, Czech Republic, Romania and Fyrom, to take part at the World Team Championship 2010. This competition will be held in Romania, in Calimanesti resort, Cozia hotelier compound, from April 19th (day of arrival ) - April 29th 2010 (day of departure). The nearest airports are in Sibiu (75 km) and in Bucharest (180 km).

Costs:
- 550 euros/person - Full board and accommodation in single room.
- 650 euros/person - Full board and accommodation in double room.

Transportation:
Transportation from the Sibiu and Bucharest airport to the hotel and back are provided by the organizer and is free of charge. Access to the hotel pool and to Internet are free of charge also.

The place chosen for this championship is one of the most beautiful and modern SPA resorts in Romania. It is famous for its quality service and provides the ideal premises for a successful chess event.

2) XII. Individual world championship for blind and visually impaired

XII. Individual world championship for blind and visually impaired chess players will be held in Belgrad (Serbia) 26-8-2010 (arrival) - 5-9-2010 (departure). Every blind and visually impaired chess player is welcome to participate. The nation of the player must be a full member of IBCA and must have payed the membership fee before the games start.
